Monthly Plan app

Introduction

Monthly Plan is a solution for people who want to be better organized in their daily lives. The idea is to plan your goals and tasks over a month, keeping an eye on the important tasks and goals that need to be accomplished.

The target is university students (18-30), because of their schedules, student jobs and activities.

My responsabilities
On this project, I was involved in:

• Defining the problem and the target
• Drawing up user flows and wireframes
• Producing graphic mockups, proposing a style guide
• Prototyping and animating the mockups using the AEUX plugin

Process

Wireframes

In the format of wireframes, I produced wireframes for this planning.
I also kept an eye on planning applications such as Microsoft To Do.

Features

Following the survey, I determined the screens to include and the functionalities:

Ideas	Description
Home	View all scheduled tasks to get an overview of essential topics.
Events	Monthly events to help you remember important dates.
Tasks	Tasks for the month sorted by category.
Goals	Monthly goals to achieve, give yourself 2 or 3 important objectives to reach during the month.

Style

The colors have been designed to reflect the application:

• an optimistic and energetic side, because we want to motivate students
• a user-friendly aspect that removes the "serious", "work" and "responsibility" aspects that stress students

The mockups

A main color of orange (energy), pastel and light colors (optimism), a cartoon style (user-friendly) and colors by subject category for better visibility and memorability.

Creating the components enabled me to create the mock-ups more quickly, to change the category colors with a single click, and to prototype easily by modifying the information in the instances (sub-components).

I then went on to animate the interface, using the mock-ups on Figma and the AEUX plugin to transfer them to After Effects.

The message we wanted to convey with this man was to keep moving forward:
Go step by step, until you reach your goal

It's a task planning application for the current or upcoming month.
The application motivate students, and we wanted to show this in this animation.

Conclusion

This project enabled me to improve my skills in:

• research work
• create research-based mockups
• animate a video with After Effects
